Chelsea's Community Connection

Chelsea Groton Bank is very pleased to announce that Marilyn "Lynn" Malerba has been appointed to the bank's Board of Trustees effective February 27, 2014. Malerba, the 18th Chief of the Mohegan Tribe and the first female Chief in the tribe's modern history, has extensive strategic experience and is a model community steward.

"Lynn is smart, insightful, thoughtful and caring,” said President and CEO Michael Rauh. “I’ve gotten to know her over the last few years, particularly while serving with her on the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital Board. Lynn is excited about joining our board and we’re thrilled to have her! Lynn’s entire career exemplifies service to others, and advancing the needs and goals of her community. Her values mesh beautifully with ours and we look forward to her contributions in the years ahead.”

Malerba earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Connecticut in 2008, and in 2010 was awarded an honorary doctorate from St. Joseph College in Hartford. She is currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program at Yale University. She lives in Uncasville with her husband, Paul, and they have two adult daughters, Elizabeth and Angela.
