Community Connection

Go LocalGo Local Wednesday
On the third Wednesday of every month, the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) hosts "Go Local Wednesday," a day where ICBA employees and community bankers nationwide shop, bank and dine locally. During Community Banking Month, Go Local Wednesday will occur on Wednesday, April 20. Be sure to post photos and share stories of your experiences by using the #GoLocal and #BankLocally hashtags.

Coin Counting for a Cause
We've added another coin counting machine! At our Westside branch, the 3% fee normally charged to non-relationship customers who use the new coin-counting machine will be donated to the Center for Hospice Care Southeastern Connecticut in Norwich, and at our Groton branch, the fee will be donated to The United Way of Southeastern Connecticut's Gemma Moran Food Center in New London. Relationship customers, who currently do not pay a fee, will have the option to donate the value of 3% of their coins if they choose to do so. After coins are counted, a transaction coin redemption receipt will be printed. Customers can bring the receipt to the teller line to receive the value of the coins, and a receipt that shows the amount donated as proof of the donation for tax records. Now is the time to scrounge up your loose change and make a difference together!
