Each year, seniors at area high schools are invited to apply for a Chelsea Groton Bank scholarship to help with the rising costs of a college education. This year's recipients, one from each of 16 area high schools, were presented with scholarships at a ceremony in the Bank's board room. Read more.

The Beetle is Back…
The new and improved Chelsea Groton VW Beetle made its debut at the Groton Fourth of July Parade. The Beetle will be out and about at events throughout the community during the summer and fall months. If you see the Beetle around town (and you aren't driving yourself), snap a picture and send it to marketing@chelseagroton.com for a chance to have your photo show up on our Facebook feed. Small Business Expo at Chelsea Groton Bank's New London branch
Chelsea Groton Bank will host a Small Business Expo at the Bank's New London branch (One Montauk Avenue) on Wednesday, July 29, from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. Current and aspiring small business owners are invited to attend to meet with the Bank's experts in cash management, business banking, commercial lending and financial planning to learn how to manage business disbursements more efficiently, increase cash flow, finance working capital and equipment, plan for retirement, and more.
Representatives from SCORE, a national small business consulting firm with offices in New London County, and TransFirst, a merchant service company that offers customized payment processing products and services, will be present to consult with attendees about strategic planning and other challenges small businesses face.

Local Hunger Awareness Month
In continued support of children and young adults in our area, Chelsea Groton Bank is contributing $1 to the United Way's campaign against hunger for every new "like" on the Bank's Facebook page, and every new "follow" on the Bank's LinkedIn page until July 31. Spread the word to help us fight hunger in our area!
