Lakeland Bank is committed to protecting your safety as well as that of our associates. With the rapid evolution of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and feelings of uncertainty, we’re doing everything we can to protect your best interests and ensure you have access to the financial resources and services you need.

The Lakeland Bank family and the world, in general, are navigating in uncharted territory and it is important that we remain calm and support each other in these uncertain times. We will continue to monitor the latest information from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as well as other state and federal agencies and communicate additional measures that we implement to support you and our communities as needed.

Lakeland Bank will continue to be guided by its core values, including communicating clearly and honestly. We are proactively responding to assist in controlling the spread of the Coronavirus throughout our communities as follows:

Supporting Our Customers

To further support the Regional Approach to Combating COVID-19 announced on March 16, 2020 by the Governors of the States of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut and in compliance with directives we have received from a senior living facility in which two of our branch offices are located, effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, Lakeland Bank is modifying the operations of its branch network as follows:

Branches With Drive-Up Service

Lakeland Bank will be temporarily eliminating lobby service in all branch locations with drive-up service.  Transactions may be conducted through the drive-up, ATM and night depository (where available).  Signs will be posted instructing you to call the branch to arrange appointments for limited essential services, including safe deposit box access and wire transfer service. This applies to all of our branches with the exception of those listed below.

Branches Without Drive-Up Service (Denville, Hackensack Main Street, Little Falls, Morristown, Totowa) – Limited Access With Appointment

Lakeland Bank will continue to provide you with access to the branch lobby by appointment, but in limited numbers (one customer to one Lakeland Bank associate) in order to ensure appropriate social distancing practices. Please contact your branch directly to schedule an appointment. Where possible, you will be encouraged to use the ATM, night depository (where available) or a nearby branch with drive-up services. Signs will be posted to let everyone know that we have social distancing practices in place.

Branch Without Drive-Up Service (Englewood) – Limited Access by Appointment

We will be offering limited essential services by appointment only.  Transactions may be conducted at the ATM or night depository and you will be referred to a nearby branch with drive-up services,  as necessary. Signs will be posted instructing you to call the branch to arrange appointments for limited essential services, including safe deposit box access and wire transfer service.

Temporary Closures Mandated by Senior Assisted Care Facilities (Cedar Crest and Woodland Commons in Pompton Plains)

Our Cedar Crest and Woodland Commons branches located within the greater Cedar Crest Village, an assisted living facility in Pompton Plains, will be temporarily closed at the request of the facility’s management.

We hope you understand that this is a temporary situation and we will continue to do our best to service you while keeping your safety, and that of our associates, at the forefront of everything we do.

Supporting Our Associates

  • Many of our associates have the technology and resources to be able to perform their job functions remotely.

Supporting Our Community

  • We encourage you and our associates to support local businesses wherever they can. Many small businesses are struggling and our support may mean the difference between a business surviving during these trying times or being forced to close.
  • Lakeland Bank has committed to donate $100,000 to Local Food Pantries to help alleviate shortages for families who are in need of support. We encourage you and our associates to consider supporting our neighbors in need.

Customer Notifications

  • To ensure that you remain informed about these and future changes, we will be communicating on our website, social media, as well as by email and with signage at all locations. Critical customer communications will be posted throughout the day on our website.

The Lakeland Bank Family wishes you, your colleagues, friends and family good health during these difficult times.
