Chelsea Groton Foundation Applications – Due Next Week
Scientific, educational and charitable organizations throughout the Bank’s market area are invited to apply for a grant through the Chelsea Groton Foundation. The deadline for submitting the fall grant application has been extended until Friday, September 25, 2015. Affordable Housing Forum, Norwich
Attention business leaders, non-profits, and government officials...On Thursday, October 22, from 9 – 11 a.m., Chelsea Groton Bank will be hosting an Affordable Housing Forum at the Otis Library in Norwich. The purpose of the forum is to address critical needs and bring awareness of opportunities for housing in Southeastern Connecticut. Mayor Deb Hinchey, Selectman Rob Simmons, Jude Carroll of the CT Housing Coalition, and Norbert Deslauriers of CHFA will be among the panelists discussing the state of the local economy, and the need for affordable housing to be available in growing urban and suburban areas. David Fink of Partnership for Strong Communities will moderate the discussion. The forum is free and open to the public. Fall Festivals and Parades
Join Chelsea Groton Bank at the many community events we are involved with this fall:
- Groton's Fall Festival, October 10, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Poquonnock Plains Park, Groton. Spend the day supporting over 100 artists, crafters, businesses and nonprofit organizations.
- The Westerly-Pawcatuck Columbus Day Parade, October 11. With over 80 participating marching units, the parade starts at 1:10 p.m. at Tower and Granite Streets in Westerly and ends at Town Hall.
- Apple Harvest Festival, October 16 – 18, at Welles Street Riverfront Park, Glastonbury. Over 100 vendors, 40 bands, amusement rides, a petting zoo, a 5k race, and more, are part of this annual 3-day festival.
