You're Invited to Chelsea Groton Bank's Affordable Housing Forum in Norwich

Affordable Housing ForumChelsea Groton Bank is presenting an Affordable Housing Forum on Thursday, October 22 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Otis Library in Norwich.

Mayor Deb Hinchey of Norwich, Selectman Rob Simmons of Stonington, Jude Carroll of the Connecticut Housing Coalition, Erica Schwarz of Local Initiatives Support Coalition (LISC) and Housing Connections, and Norbert Deslauriers of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), will participate in a discussion about the state of the local economy, and the need for affordable housing to be available in growing urban and suburban areas in Southeastern Connecticut. Katy Shafer of Partnership for Strong Communities, will moderate the forum.

"Housing is one of the pillars on which our towns' economic aspirations can be built," said Pam Days-Luketich, Community Outreach Officer at Chelsea Groton Bank. "Chelsea Groton Bank is honored to have the opportunity to bring together key influencers and members of the public to discuss affordable housing and the positive impact it can have, not only for the individuals and families gaining access to housing, but for all of the hardworking people in the community who provide goods and services to homeowners."
