Meet Kate Alves, VP, Credit Department Manager

Kate AlvesKate Alves, Vice President, Credit Manager joined Chelsea Groton Bank in 2005. She worked in Loan Servicing and Risk & Compliance before joining, and managing, the Credit Department.

Kate graduated from Merrimack College with a B.S. in Mathematics. Kate is also a 2010 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management, and a 2011 graduate of the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program. In 2014, she was awarded the "40 Under Forty" award by the Southeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, she was named a "New Leader in Banking" by the Connecticut Bankers Association.

In Kate’s current role, she is tasked with protecting the Bank's assets by investigating and assessing the "credit worthiness" of potential and existing customers. Kate leads a team of four exceptional analysts, who work hard and exemplify everything Chelsea Groton stands for.

Kate has served as the Treasurer of the Groton Scholarship Committee and the Co-Chair and Secretary of City of Groton's Economic Development Committee. She currently serves as a campaign captain for the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut.

Kate resides in Groton, CT with her husband Rob. She is an avid runner and golfer.
